Mesa plans to construct a new roadway connection on Ray Road from Ellsworth Road to Hawes Road. Improvements will provide three lanes in each direction, raised medians, new pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalks, storm drain, street lighting and retention basins. In addition, there will be traffic signal improvements at Ellsworth and at Skyline.

Project Phasing

• Surface paving (top layer of asphalt) is complete.
• The intersection of Serenity and Skyline will be closed in the future to rebuild the intersection. This cannot happen until the new Ray Road alignment is connected at Ellsworth Road. We are waiting for SRP to underground the overhead powerlines and remove the electrical poles.
• Please continue to drive slowly and follow all posted signage through the project.
