Your pledge, whether for an annual event, regular meeting or a new gathering, big or small, helps deepen community connections, opportunities to get engaged, and create memories that reflect Mesa's unique story.

It’s easy to participate! Neighborhoods can host a gathering that is meaningful to your community. If you need ideas, the Community Engagement Team has put together 25.0 ideas for your pledge(PDF, 98KB) and neighborhoods may request a Party in a Box to support the celebration!
By taking the America250: Neighborhood Celebration pledge and hosting a neighborhood gathering in 2026, your neighborhood will be entered into a drawing to win $250. At the end of 2026, two neighborhoods will be selected to receive $250 toward their 2027 neighborhood gathering!

Party in a Box
Party in a Box is a ready-to-go kit with America250 celebration essentials to help make your neighborhood gathering fun and easy! Inside, you will find commonly used party items, such as invitations, lawn games, balloon supplies, and more! The Party in a Box are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with pick-up and drop-off offered Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, subject to staff and item availability.
