Fall into Safety: Enjoy the Season Safely!

As temperatures drop and fall activities begin, don’t forget to put safety first when using gas appliances. These simple tips can help keep your home and family safe.

• Use appliances as directed by the manufacturer.

• A steady blue flame is a good sign; yellow or flickering could signal danger.

• Smell rotten eggs? It could be a gas leak — leave immediately, call 911, then 480-644-4277.

• Hear hissing? See bubbling water or dead plants? These could be signs of a leak.

• Check exposed gas pipes for rust or damage. Call a licensed professional if anything looks off.

• Keep your gas meter protected from vehicles and other potential damage.

Safety starts at home. Review natural gas safety together. Create a safety plan.
