  • Crews are completing final cleanup this week, and traffic control will be removed.
  • Crews will return the week of January 5 to apply permanent, reflective striping. Traffic will be shifted away from the work area and left turns may be restricted to allow time for the striping to dry sufficiently before allowing traffic to resume traveling across it.

40th Street, between Brown Road and McLellan Road & McLellan Road, between 40th Street and Val Vista Drive

  • Scheduled to take place Dec. 22 – 23, crews will raise utilities to be flush with the new road surface with traffic again shifted away from the work areas.

Val Vista Drive, McKellips Road to Quenton Drive

  • Crews are currently working in the east side of Val Vista Drive, crossing Pomegranate Street with pipeline installation. To accommodate this crossing, Pomegranate Street is currently closed on the east side of Val Vista Drive and is expected to be reopened late this week or early next week.
  • Following this work, currently expected to begin in early to mid-January, similar work will take place to cross Palm Street on the east side of Val Vista Drive with Palm Street being closed on the east side of Val Vista Drive. Please watch for signage with dates for these closures.
  • Val Vista Drive traffic between Kael Street and McDowell Road is currently shifted to the outside, curb lanes while crews reinstall medians and associated landscaping in this area.
