NOTICE:

Mesa has begun transitioning its solicitation opportunities to Vendor Self-Service (VSS). Currently, Bid Opportunities may reside in one of two locations (Open Solicitation or VSS). Eventually, all solicitations will be posted to VSS.  Future solicitations will require vendors to register in VSS to be able to submit responses. In order to receive notifications about upcoming solicitations, vendors will need to be registered for Commodity Codes that apply to them. Vendors not currently registered will want to complete registration at their earliest convenience.

Recognition'sAchievement of Excellence

In 2019, the National Purchasing Institute honored Mesa's Purchasing Division with the "Achievement of Excellence in Procurement" award for the fifteenth consecutive year.  This prestigious award recognizes organizational excellence in public procurement and is awarded to those organizations that meet criteria designed to measure innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership.  

In 2016 and 2019, Mesa was awarded the NIGP Outstanding Agency Accreditation Achievement Award (OA4) by NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement. The OA4 recognizes agencies that lead the public procurement profession through the implementation of best practices. Agencies that earn this designation are OA4-accredited for three years.

The City of Mesa Purchasing Division acquires quality materials and services for City Departments in a timely and cost-effective manner, providing the resources they need to perform their jobs, while maintaining an open and competitive bidding environment.
