The Trees Are Cool Initiative set a goal of planting one million trees by 2050, and we encourage everyone – residents, businesses, and community groups – to get involved in planting and recording trees so we can maintain and grow a cooler, healthier, and more resilient community for generations to come.

Mesa celebrated America's birthday by giving away 250 Liberty Trees. Representing traits like strength, endurance, and hope, these trees serve as a sustainable tribute to our history while enriching our neighborhoods with shade and cleaner air. By planting a Liberty Tree, we unite our community and root our shared legacy in the soil for generations to come.
