Damage Prevention Training

This online training is for anyone performing excavation, boring, blasting, tunneling, or other activities as defined per ARS §40-361.21 (8) within any of our utility service areas.

Training topics include:

  • Overview of the City of Mesa’s Utility infrastructure
  • City of Mesa requirements
  • Arizona Underground Facilities Law
  • Safe digging practices
  • How to identify and report utility emergencies

This course satisfies the Damage Prevention Training requirement for individuals taking it as part of a Capital Improvement Project (CIP) contractual agreement. Certification is valid for 12 months and applies to future projects with the City of Mesa during that time.
