The Mesa Recreation Scholarship (MRS) is a discounted 50% scholarship program designed to provide financial aid to people who receive government assistance. Youth and adaptive participants who live in Mesa who qualify are eligible for a 50% discount on recreational activities*.
Applicants must obtain the MRS prior to registering for the programs and be approved. MRS will only apply to future programs after approval email from parksresreg@mesaaz.gov, no refunds will be issued for activities registered for prior to receiving MRS.
*Please note that the MRS does not apply to instructor-led General Enrichment or Special Interest classes; private lessons; FlowRider; gym drop-in access or memberships; lifeguard certification courses; or activities costing $15.00 or less.

Submit the application, provide proof of residency within the City of Mesa, and include the below documentation:
- A copy of a verification document showing eligibility to any one of the following government assistance programs: Unemployment Insurance, WIC, or AHCCCS
