East side of Power Road from SR 202 Park & Ride north to the Mesa city limit (1.5 miles). This paved path will be 12 feet wide as it will serve as both the sidewalk and shared use path, accommodating users of varying speeds. Signalized crossing is planned at Power Road and Redmont Drive providing access to the path. Design began in summer 2022, construction started in May 2025, and completion is expected by the end of May 2026.

Anticipated Timeline

  • Fall/Winter 2025: Demolition, utility installation, paving the shared use path up to Eagle Crest Drive, and installing concrete and traffic equipment at the Redmont Drive, Thomas Road, and Loop 202 crossings.
  • Winter 2025/Spring 2026: Demolition and site prep for the Park & Ride portion of the path.
  • Spring 2026: Paving the remaining shared use path, median concrete work, landscaping, and plant restoration, wrapping up the project.
