Process and timeline

Based on prior years’ application deadlines, the process and timeline will apply for City of Mesa resolutions of support.

NOTE: Those agencies selected for award must be included in an executed IGA (Intergovernmental Agreement) between the City of Mesa and the Tohono O’odham Nation.

Awarded agencies must contact the City of Mesa Grants Coordinator, sharon.skinner@mesaaz.gov upon notice of award to ensure timely processing of IGA materials.

Resolution of Support Required Format and Information

Your request must be submitted via ZoomGrants

Your formal request for a resolution of support must be made in letter format on your agency letterhead, addressed to the Mayor, and MUST include the following information:

  1. The name of the program/project your agency/department will fund with the grant.
  2. The amount of funding requested from Tohono O’odham Nation.
  3. A short description of the program/project for which you are requesting funding.
  4. A brief paragraph describing how this program/project will impact Mesa community, including the projected number or percentage of Mesa residents to be served.
  5. Your complete contact information, including phone, email and mailing address with a designated point of contact.

Your request must be submitted via ZoomGrants 

NOTE: Each email request for tribal support must be applied for separately.

All requests for City Council Resolutions of Support must comply with the above and be submitted via ZoomGrants on or before April 16, 2026.

Failure to follow these specific guidelines will result in your request being rejected.

NOTE: Your agency must be located in and/or serving the residents of Mesa in order to be eligible for City of Mesa Council support.
