Equipment 101 is back at the Red Mountain Center! On the 3rd Saturday of each month from 7-8am, a Fitness Instructor will be here to help you become more comfortable using the fitness equipment. Registration is required! Call the Red Mountain Center Front Desk at (480) 644-4800, ext. 2, to sign up or sign-up in person! Must register by Wednesday prior to class. Class is free and limited to 10 people. 

The fitness center offers a variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment.  The exercise floor is equipped with 5 HD TV monitors with closed captioning.  The most prominent feature in the second floor fitness center is the walking track.  1/14th mile, the track circles the gymnasium below.

• Climbing wall is supervised by facility staff.
• Available to all participants 4 years of age and older with a signed waiver form on file.
• All participants under the age of 18 years must have a parent/guardian signature on the waiver.
• Waiver forms are available at the Red Mountain Center front desk.
• Participants 12 years of age and younger must have an adult 18 years or older present in the facility.
• Participants 7 years of age and younger must be in the presence of an adult 18 years or older.
• No sandals, Crocs or open heel/toed shoes allowed.
• Climbing shoes available to rent for $2.00.
• Must wear socks. Socks are available to purchase for $2.00.
• If your party includes 6 or more climbers, we kindly ask that you call ahead to ensure we have adequate staff to belay your party. 

Climbing Wall Belay Certification

• Required for participation during non-open climb hours.
• Classes are held on Thursdays at 7:45pm.
• Please register at least one-week prior. 
• Open to ages 13 and older.
• Cost is $10.00.
• Classes must have at least 2 registered participants.

 Unsupervised Certified Climbing

• The climbing wall is not supervised by facility staff.
• Climbing and belaying is only available to those who have passed the RMC belay certification class, with a certified belayer present.
• Belayers must be 13 years of age and older.
• All climbers must have a valid signed waiver form on file to participate.
• Participants 12 years of age and younger must have an adult 18 years or older present in the facility.
• Participants 7 years of age and younger must be in the presence of an adult 18 years or older.

Climbing Wall Rental

Private climbing wall parties are available on select days and times, and must be booked in advance. Please contact Tina Royer at tina.royer@mesaaz.gov, or 480-644-4803 to inquire about Climbing Wall rentals.

Drop-In Sports(PDF, 135KB)

• Regulation size court with 4 side basketball hoops.
• Converts to 2 volleyball courts.  Easy access to locker rooms.

$4.00 per child or Included with Household Membership    

Offers supervised playtime area for on-site participants.  Designed for preschoolers and toddlers, ages 6 months to 7 years of age.  Activities include story telling, movies, games, and play time.  Equipped with child size restroom facilities.  Maximum stay 2 hours. 

More Information:

• Do not send food with your child.

• Parent must remain in the building while child is in Kids Club.

• Sippy cup or water bottle must be labeled with child's name.

• Do not bring toys or movies from home.

• Please do not bring your child to Kids Club if they are sick.

• Check in at the front desk prior to entering the children's play area.

• Picture ID may be required for checking your child in and out.

• The parent that checks their child in will be the only person who can pick up the child.

• If there are behavior issues or if your child needs a diaper change, parents will be located in the facility.

• Parents are not allowed to stay in Kids Club with their child.

• Access to billiards, foosball, music, video games, movies, board games, and more.
• All participants 13-17 years must have a parent/guardian signature on a current Youth Waiver.
• Waiver forms are available at the Red Mountain Center front desk.
• Youth age 8-12 must have an adult age 18 or older in the facility.
• Admission included in Household memberships.
