MesaMoves is dedicated to safety education and encourages active transportation choices in Mesa through the development of well-connected routes. Developed and operated by the City of Mesa's Transportation Department and our dedicated outreach volunteers, the program offers a variety of free community events, safety classes, educational kits, bike maps and helmets.

Outreach Support Volunteer

An Outreach Support Volunteer is an unpaid, volunteer position that assists the Transportation Department with performing a variety of administrative and creative tasks. Key responsibilities include packaging and preparing educational kits for distribution to schools, libraries, or community groups; performing general office tasks such as printing, photocopying, and organizing materials; assisting with proofreading, formatting, and updating program documents and flyers; organizing and preparing educational materials as needed in the office; and assisting with special projects as needed.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age to work independently (13 years of age with parent/guardian permission and adult supervision).
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to commit at least 2 hours per volunteer session.
