Trees Are Cool Presents: Get Answers, Get Planting

The City of Mesa will be hosting tree support sessions across Mesa on the first Friday of each month, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Registration is not required, and the events are free. Join us to:

Learn the benefits of adding trees to your landscape
Understand what to look for when buying trees
Learn about tree care and maintenance
Chat with an arborist (bring your tree questions!)

Some sessions will include a demonstration of Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI), which uses natural systems to manage rainwater. Instead of letting rain run off streets and rooftops and cause flooding or pollution, GSI directs it into landscaped areas. There, the water soaks into the ground, nourishing plants and helping to clean the water. This approach also shades and cools areas, creates wildlife habitats, and generally improves our communities.

February 6 - Skyline Park, 55 S Crismon Rd, Mesa, AZ 85208

*March 6 - Carriage Lane Park, 3140 S Carriage Ln, Mesa, AZ 85202

*Explore a GSI feature during this event. GSI tours will visit one feature, breaking down how it works, its benefits, and how we can expand GSI installations across the City of Mesa.
