Standard Plan Library

The Pre-Approved Plan Library includes Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and Residential Homes that may be used for residential construction in Mesa. The steps for using the pre-approved plans are below:

Select Your Design

Review the list of pre-approved plans below to identify the option that best fits your needs. Contact information for each designer is provided and may be used to ask questions about a specific plan.

License the Plan

Contact the designer to obtain a license for use of their pre-approved plan. Depending on the designer’s requirements, the plan may be used independently or with assistance from another qualified professional. If the original design company is not involved in the use of the plans, they may require a release of liability.

Apply for a Building Permit

Submit a building permit application online. Construction may begin once the permit application has been reviewed and the Building Permit has been issued. Standard building permit fees apply.

Designs marked with an “IN REVIEW” banner are currently being processed for standard plan pre-approval and are not yet available for licensing.
