Project Phasing

SRP has completed the shoofly work, which added temporary poles to relocate the overhead power lines. This helps provide the space needed for the contractor and sub-contractors to drill and install traffic signal pole foundations, electrical conduit for traffic signals, cabinets, and streetlights at Ray/Ellsworth. After the electrical work is complete, Sunland (contractor) can move forward with the remaining roadway improvements at Ellsworth (i.e., paving, concrete ramps/sidewalk, install traffic signal mast arms etc.).

SRP is in the process of scheduling the remainder of their work and getting a contractor on board. They still need to complete boring/excavation of their own conduits to fully convert the overhead power lines to underground and remove poles (existing and new from shoofly).

Remaining items to complete on the Ray Rd Project:

  • Reconstruct the intersection of Serenity and Skyline. This cannot happen until the new Ray Road alignment is connected at Ellsworth Road.
  • Install traffic signal mast arms at Ray/Skyline and Ray/Ellsworth
  • Remove and replace asphalt behind Nellis Auction's easternmost driveway
  • Adjustments, Final Striping, Signage and Landscaping
  • Address any Punchlist Items

Please continue to drive slowly and follow all posted signage through the project.

Upcoming Road Closures:

  • TBD - The intersection of Serenity and Skyline will be closed to reconstruct the roadway.
