All fees due to the City of Mesa for licenses, permits, and development applications are paid through the DIMES ePermit online portal or in person at a Mesa facility. Forensic Services personnel assigned to the Fingerprint Identification Unit regularly process suspect, juvenile, and applicant fingerprint information through the Arizona Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AZAFIS). This process is completed to search against prior fingerprint records to ensure proper identification of individuals. The Fingerprint Identification Unit processes approximately 16,425 fingerprint records per year. Members of this unit also perform ink print comparison and maintain fingerprint records for Mesa.
