Black Trash Barrel

We provide curbside trash collection service to all Mesa residents. Barrels are available in 60-gallon (40"h x 27"w x 28"d) or 90-gallon (45"h x 28"w x 34"d) sizes. Standard service includes once a week collection. 

Black barrel reminders:

• Bag and tie wet garbage, grass and animal waste in a plastic bag to maintain sanitary conditions and to prevent odors and the breeding of flies.
• Do not place the following items in the barrel:
  • Dirt
  • Hot ashes, cinders, coals or any other burning materials
  • Mortar, concrete, plaster or other building materials
  • Motor oil
  • Toxic or hazardous material
  • Unwrapped animal waste
• Do not overload barrel and do not exceed 200 lbs.
• Maximize the use of your black barrel. If an item is accepted in Mesa's Blue Barrel Program, recycle it instead and save the extra space for non-recyclable items.

Please remember to bag and tie your trash before placing it into the BLACK barrel
