Infill and redevelopment generally involve developing vacant properties or reinvesting in underused properties within established areas of the community. These projects can strengthen existing neighborhoods, support local businesses, add housing and employment opportunities, and make efficient use of infrastructure and public services already in place.
Because infill and redevelopment sites often encounter constraints not found on sites in newly developing areas, the City is proposing targeted amendments to the Mesa Zoning Ordinance and other City codes and standards. These amendments are intended to address those constraints while maintaining compatibility with surrounding development and protecting public health and safety.
