Forensic Scientists assigned to the Toxicology unit perform analysis on collected blood and urine samples for the presence and amount of alcohol. Forensic Scientists also perform drug screening and drug confirmations on blood samples. Members of the Toxicology unit also support the preliminary breath alcohol testing and Drug Recognition Expert programs. Both programs assist officers in the field conducting DUI investigations.
