Water and Wastewater Capacity Fees were adopted and became effective January 1, 2026, under Mesa City Code Section 8-10-13, with a six-month phase-in period on ¾-inch and 1-inch meters.

Effective July 1, 2026, the full Water and Wastewater Capacity Fees for ¾-inch and 1-inch meter services will be assessed. Learn more about the fees.

Current Planning manages and evaluates development projects in accordance with existing land use policies, zoning ordinances, and regulations. This essential function involves the review, approval, and oversight of applications for new construction, redevelopment, subdivisions, and changes in land use.

Our focus is on promoting orderly growth while preserving the unique character of our community. We achieve this by ensuring that projects align with Mesa’s Zoning Code, design standards, environmental protections, and infrastructure capacities.
