We believe that providing access for citizens to communicate with the Council is vital for a strong representative local government.
All council meetings are open to the public to attend in-person or electronically by watching live on local cable Mesa 11, YouTube and Facebook.
The Mayor will endeavor to conduct Council meetings to accomplish the public’s business fairly, yet efficiently, and preserves the order of the meeting.
Members of the public can address their comments to the Council in the following ways:
Speak to Council in person
Participants may complete a request to speak form utilizing one of the kiosks available in the lobby upon arrival. You may also access the same form using your cell phone by scanning any of the QR codes located throughout the lobby.
The request to speak form will become activated at 5 p.m. on the night of meetings. The form must be completed prior to reading of the Consent Agenda at the meeting. Each speaker must be present and is limited to three minutes, unless otherwise determined by the Mayor. If you are with a group sharing similar comments, please designate a spokesperson.
