Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

 Medical calls represent more than 80% of the emergency calls we respond to. EMS oversees the department's medical-based services, programs, and training which directly supports our ability to provide the highest level of emergency care to our community.

Responsibilities Include    

• Providing internal and regional Paramedic training and continuing education programs 
• Serving as a medical information resource for our field providers, and medical liaison to external medical facilities and agencies (hospitals, ambulance services, AzDHS, and other public safety agencies)
• Maintaining records of all State certifications and coordinating the certification process.
