The Community Engagement Academy (CEA) is a two-day interactive experience designed to connect community members with the Mesa Police Department. Focused on today’s most relevant public safety topics and current crime trends, the academy offers engaging discussions, presentations, and hands-on learning opportunities. Participants will gain valuable insight into police operations while strengthening relationships within their community.

Dates: Saturday, May 2, 2026 and Wednesday, May 6, 2026

  • Defensive Tactics & Personal Safety
  • Traffic Safety & Awareness
  • Financial Crimes
  • Dispatch Operations
  • Park Ranger Safety & Enforcement
  • Crime Prevention and Community Action Officers

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Reside or work in Mesa.
  • A background clearance is conducted prior to class start date.
