Superstition Police Division
The Superstition Patrol Division is one of the fastest growing areas within the City of Mesa, with a population of around 178,225 (2023). The district is located in the eastern portion of the city and covers approximately 73.14 square miles.
The Superstition Patrol Division has a staff of 145 sworn Patrol Officers, including supervisors, and 14 civilian support staff members. It is also responsible for officers assigned to the Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport. The station is shared with Mesa Fire Department Station 12.
The Superstition Patrol Division has a Criminal Investigation Unit. These detectives investigate most of the criminal cases that occur within the division. There is also a Street Crimes squad which is proactive in identifying and arresting criminals who commit crimes within the division. In addition, the division has a Community Action Officer to proactively work on community and quality of life issues impacting the division.
The crime prevention officer assigned to Superstition works closely with local businesses, rental properties and the community to help solve crime and nuisance problems in neighborhoods and business areas.
